The Queen of Queen’s

The tribal people all over the world are distinct and unique for their basic and traditional culture, honesty, simplicity, single-mindedness, devotion to their families and affinity with Mother Nature. They are most elemental to their living patterns and their proximity to nature is evident. They are unique in the diversity of their physique, attire, dialects, singing, dancing, custom and culture.

Many approaches and strategies for the welfare and development of scheduled tribes have been taken in the post-independence era with a profound comprehension of the complexity of tribal integration. Thought was spiraled for non-intervention in their ethnic and primordial structures. Nothing should be imposed on their society. The theory of ‘Panchasheel’ i.e. five principles for approach to tribal society, was proposed. The major contention in this theory was that the state should not ‘impose’ anything on tribals. They should flourish their own genius (pri-modality). They should not be over administered. They have their own culture, ‘Social change should not mean culture change’.

“There are generally two ways of approaching the problem of the tribal people. One might be called the anthropological approach of treating these people as museum specimens to be observed and written about and not as living human beings with whom one could work and play. The other approach is of rather ignoring that they are something special and different and trying to absorb them into normal pattern of society elsewhere. Both these approaches are wrong…. We must give them a measure of protection in their areas so that no outsider can interfere with them except with their consent and goodwill”.

The approach of DR. Chidatmika Khatua is a turning point in the approach of tribal transformation. Women are the nucleus of a tribal families. They steer the tribal life in an intimate path of living. She has researched on 30 types of tribal communities and studied about their cultural priorities.

“ADI RANI” India’s 1st Tribal queen contest organized in 2018 in Odisha ( Bhubaneswar ). It was a PAN India Contest launched by Kalinga gaurav Awards. The mission & vision of the event is to empower Tribal woman and uplift the unique tribal culture & showcased Tribal originality, which mesmerized whole country, dream is to connect each Tribal dots(community) Nationally & internationally and create a brain storming Tribal India.

It was a very happy moment when we got to know ADI RANI recognized under OPSC& in other competitive exam. In GK (Current affair) and questioned to students,”Who is the first Tribal Queen of India” & Answer is Pallavi Durua.

Pallavi Durua is a under privileged girl from district Koraput, who won the crown of “ADI RANI” the 1st Tribal Queen of India .She lost her father in childhood and mother work in a small hotel for survival. After she won the title she became a known figure in her locality and got recognition from Odisha Govt. as well “MU HERO”, talent Award from News 7, Feature in well known odiya magazine “kadambini” in cover page Annual edition, Now she is perusing B.Ed under Aryabhtta trust sponsored by Dr Chidatmika Khatua. Now we have taken responsibility of her further study & give her worldwide recognition, like Pallavi Durua there are so many tribal girls who are living like Pallavi in tribal area with talent but with no identity. ADI RANI mission is to empower those tribal girls / woman and empower them to stand with their originality. Because Chidatmika believes modernity is not follow westernize.modernity is to transform your own culture with it’s originality and beauty is address in” ADI RANI “beyond just Good look.

In the year 2019 we have launched our book on ADI RANI (Queen of Queens) at University of Tonga,UK,Convocation held at Bangkok. In the year 2020 we have launched world’s 1st online portal www.aditribal.com, which was launched by state union minister ministry of tribal affairs Smt Renuka sing satuara. In the year 2021 many tribal country connected virtually for Global tribal conclave organized by Adi Tribal Foundation.

The need for tribal development in India hardly needs any justification. Their primitive way of life, economic and social backwardness, low level of literacy, the hackneyed system of production, absence of value system, sparse physical infrastructure in backward tribal areas and demographic quality of tribal areas coupled together make it imperative for a systematic process of development of tribes and tribal areas. It is argued that the indigenous people are among the poorest of the poor. They suffer from extreme discrimination and lead a life of misery and destitution. The development discourse, therefore, needs to concentrate destitution. The development discourse, therefore, needs to concentrate on finding an effective strategy to mitigate these crises. It is ironic that the poorest people of India are living in the areas of the richest natural resources.

One of the major solutions, we presented for dealing effectively with the tribal problems are Assimilation.Assimilation is one of the ways of dealing with tribal problems. Thus, according to this approach, we cannot deal with tribal problems on the basis of tribal culture and life but by changing them into the frame of the new community. According to this solution advocated by the social reformers and voluntary organizations, assisting and encouraging the tribals to assimilate them with the mainstream of national life, can alone permanently solve the tribal problems.

Thus, emerged a novel approach of focusing on the supreme beauty platforms, portraying the daughters of the soil in their natural distinctiveness. 2018 was the year of contention to challenge the modernity, extravaganza and pointing on the beauty of the most vital creation of mother nature, ‘The Women’.

So formed the base ‘ADI RANI’ Competition.
